イベントのパートナーのナンディータさんは

バナナかぞくのお客さんでした☺️

Nandita san who is my event partner was the guest of Banana Kazoku.

今年の夏、息子くんのお誕生日パーティに呼んでもらって、

なんとパーティでのインド料理ビュッフェは全てナンディータさんが手作りしたとのこと！

（お友達にお手伝いはしてもらったそうですが）

This summer, I was invited to their son’s birthday. Amazingly, the all food there was cooked by Nandita san! (With the help of their friends.)

カレーを全種類制覇した夫（けっこうグルメさん）も「どれも美味しかったよ♪」とな。

My husband tried all the curry and he liked them.

私はエビカレーがお気に入りでした☺️ I loved her prawn curry.

日本人は辛いのが苦手な人もいるから、と辛さは控えめ、

でもたくさんのスパイスが絶妙に混ざり合ったカレーでした🍛

Since some Japanese don’t like spicy food, she cooked less spicy dishes, but it was tasty with nicely mixed spices.

ナンディータさんは東インドの古都コルカタのカスバ出身。

Nandita san is born and brought up in Kasba, Kolkata.

ですが、いわゆるベンガル人（ベンガーリー）ではなく、

家族はウッタル・プラデーシュの出。

Her family is originally from UP, not Bengal.

お母さんから受け継いだというお料理は、ベンガル料理ではなく北インド料理の流れを汲むもののようです。

Her cooking tips from mom is not Bengali, but North Indian.

パーティから少し経ってから、ナンディータさんから

「お弁当屋さんをやりたい。バナナかぞくでお料理イベントもしてみたい。」

とお話があり、今回のイベントへと繋がりました。

After the party, Nandita san told me that she wanted to open a packed lunch shop, and do a cooking event at Banana Kazoku. And we started planning.

ナンディータさんは1歳の息子くん、

みやは3歳と0歳の娘がいる中で、

WhatsApp（英語圏のLINE）やナンディータさん宅で打ち合わせを重ねて、

ようやくイベント開催までこぎ着けました。

She with her 1 year old son, and I with the daughters of 3 years old one and 5 months one.

We struggled to have meeting on WhatApp and at her house, and finally set the event.
